Your entry should be any type of poem (rhyme, acrostic, haiku, etc.)

The contest is open to children ages 9 to 11 and 12 to 14. Each age group will have a winner. All contest entries must be your own, original work.

All contest entries must be submitted by midnight EST on August 1st, 2012.

How winners will be picked
Carol Sabbeth, along with select judges, will choose one poem in each age group to be a winner.

How to submit an entry

1. Paste your poem into an e-mail message and send it to:

2. Proofread thoroughly and keep your text format simple. Do not include any clip art, images, or photos with your entry. Words only, please. One entry per person.

3. Include your name, age, and e-mail address in your e-mail.

4. Entries must be received by August 1, 2012. Winners will be notified by August 30, 2012.
